A man was arrested and is due to appear in court after he allegedly assaulted his father with a hammer.
The 21-year old man allegedly beat his 53-year-old father in his face and head with a hammer.
Provincial police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk said the assault took place at a house in St Marks Street in Cuban Heights, Lavender Hill, on Sunday January 15.
