Triple C Recordings, one of the nine projects of the Cape Cultural Collective, has produced a music video for the track, Midnight Blue.
The single, composed by Mansoor Jaffer, of Wynberg, was first released at the end of 2021 as an audio recording. This was a few months after it featured in the award-winning short film, Address Unknown, the poignant story of the last postman of District Six.
Mr Jaffer said: “The postman finds many of the homes he visits vacated and eventually heads off, one letter in hand, to Bonteheuwel in search of his childhood friend. It was 1976 and he arrived in the area where the youth are in rebellion against Apartheid, and his friend has been drawn into a life of activism.”
Address Unknown was written and produced by Anton Fisher.
“This is the fifth recording produced by Triple C Recordings and many are planned for the future,” said Mr Jaffer.
