Athlone A’s down VOB Macaws in season finale

Athlone Athletics walked away 16-4 victors against VOB Macaws in the last match of the season, at Chukker Road, on Saturday, February 22.

The win saw the Athlone A’s move to third position on the Cape Town Baseball Federation’s Men’s Major League 2024/2025 summit. They have won 15 and lost six, in 21 matches.

The defeat moved VOB Macaw to fourth position after 15 wins and six losses in 21 games.

Bellville Tygers climbed to second position after a 10-0 win against Maitland Giants. Bellville have won 15 and lost six of their 21 games.

The champions, Bothasig Knights, have won 18 and lost three matches. In their last match, they beat Grassy Park Crusaders 20-5.

Durbanville Villains finished fifth, with Thistles, Crusaders and Maitland Giants concluding the standings.
