The colorful McLaren 750S pays homage to the “Triple Crown” of racing
With the McLaren “Triple Crown”, the car manufacturer celebrates winning three of the most prestigious races in the world.
Why limit yourself to one paint job when you can have three? That's what the designers of the new 750S from McLaren thought, which was given the “3-7-59 theme” color scheme.
The 3-7-59 combination is based on a trio of McLaren cars' most significant racing victories (also known as the "Triple Crown"): Johnny Rutherford's #3 M16D, which won the 1974 Indianapolis 500, Alain Prost's #7 MP4/2, which emerged victorious at the 1984 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix and the #59 McLaren F1 GTR driven by Yannick Dalmas to victory at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans.
With the new McLaren 750S, the company celebrates its 60th anniversary and its “Triple Crown” victories
According to McLaren, the 750S reflects the colors of the three winning cars, combining them into a vibrant "collage with illustrated details of the three races and the cars that won them."
McLaren Special Operations (MSO) spent more than 1,200 hours painting each car in more than 20 colors. In addition, the MSO artists have hidden another special feature on the body: three QR codes, each of which contains a link to websites with further information about the winner at the time.
The “Triple Crown” logo itself is not only on the paintwork, but was also placed on the headrests, the center armrest and the pedals, among other things. The brake calipers are in blue, red and Le Mans gold, a further nod to the three winning cars.

Price and availability of the 750S from McLaren
After being unveiled at Sonoma Raceway in early November 2023, the six “3-7-59” Spider and Coupé variants will probably soon be on their way to their happy owners. Because, as McLaren announced, all vehicles have already been sold.
As far as the purchase price is concerned, the hand-painted body and the specially selected materials are likely to increase the base price of the normal McLaren 750S many times over from $308,000 (around 289,000 euros). While an official price has not yet been announced, according to a McLaren representative it is said to be “over $700,000” (approximately 655,000 euros).
