Netflix’s “W.A.G.s to Riches” brings together a group of women married to or dating high-profile athletes, giving us an all-access pass into their world of wealth, drama, and, of course, real estate.
Sharelle Rosado leads the pack. If her name rings a bell, it’s because she was the boss lady of “Selling Tampa”. A no-nonsense military veteran, mother of four, and CEO of Allure Realty with three locations, Sharelle is used to running the show.
And let's not forget her brief engagement to NFL legend Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, which ended in October 2024.
Sharelle admits she was a fan of Johnson in high school before sliding into his DMs in 2020. Is that a little fangirl energy? Maybe. But what’s clear is that she runs this show with a firm grip.
Drama ensues, as is typical with .
Some cast members have already labelled Sharelle a “mean girl”, a title she wears with indifference. One of her biggest clashes is with Lastonia “Stoni” Leviston, a luxury boutique owner and the mother of Rick Ross’s first child.
The tension? Sharelle isn’t keen on being associated with Lastonia, who had a sex tape leaked without her consent. The tape, which was released by 50 Cent during his feud with Ross, has Sharelle turning her nose up at Lastonia’s past.
Then there’s Ashley Wheeler, married to ex-Miami Dolphins player Philip Wheeler. Now that Philip’s retired, he’s happy to be a house-husband while Ashley brings home the bacon.
Recently, Ashley joined Sharelle’s brokerage as a top-earning agent alongside Maranda Johnson, where she works with high-profile clients, including Teyana Taylor.
Maranda, the youngest member of the group, brings her own brand of chaos. A charismatic real estate agent and aspiring rap artist, she shares two children with rapper Kodak Black.
And if you thought that was complicated, wait until you see how messy things get with side chicks and court cases flying left and right.
Later in the season, Maranda gets arrested after a heated altercation with one of the rapper’s other baby mothers. She’s certainly not shy about speaking her mind.
Adding to the drama is Julz “YesJulz” Goddard, a talent manager and social media personality, who once worked for Kanye West at Yeezy. She spills all the tea about her time with Ye, alleging she wasn’t appreciated as an employee.
But the real heat comes when YesJulz gets called out for racist behaviour on the show.
One of the more interesting dynamics is the growing tension between Sharelle, who initially writes off Lastonia but eventually she realises her mistake and tries to rebuild their relationship.
Of course, that doesn’t stop the feuds with other cast members.
Porsha Berto, a mother of two with a third on the way, is married to retired boxer Andre Berto. She’s also a real estate agent and the owner of the “Bad Bxtch Good Mom” brand.
Keeta Hill a tech entrepreneur, married to Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, is no stranger to the spotlight. Tyreek, one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL, has been at the centre of both personal and legal challenges recently.
However, Keeta remains unshaken, focused on her own entrepreneurial ventures. She opens up about the strains her marriage has faced amidst Tyreek’s legal woes.
Then there’s Sadé Vanessa, the “Barbie doll” of the group. She’s a glamorous TV host, swimwear entrepreneur, and engaged to NFL player Robbie Chosen Anderson, bringing a touch of glamour to the chaos.
And she’s a fan favourite.
If you enjoy watching wealthy and driven women with real estate licenses and famous partners engage in petty squabbles, then you'll endure this dramatic and tumultuous show.
Rating: 3/5 - solid and enjoyable, though not groundbreaking.
