The first episode of the 'Date My Family' was nothing short of drama, shade and jealous "friends".
The new season kicked off with the bachelorette Mimi Khomo, a 20-year old the blonde beauty from KZN.
Mimi is a straight talker, who’s not afraid to express herself, “ngiya phapha (I’m forward)”, she said as she introduces herself. Mimi said she’s looking for a man who dresses well, smells good, someone who will complement her.
The first dinner date was with Siphiwe friends. His reaction though as Mimi walked in was priceless.

The friends weren’t impressed with Mimi being “too forward” with one of the friends comparing Mimi's hair style with women who hang around in taverns.

Moving on to the next dinner date - Anda's friend.
Anda approached 'Date My Family' because he has a phobia of approaching women.
The date went well - until the one friend disrupted the conversation and said that the other friends must tell Mimi the truth about Anda and not what she wanted to hear.
