Gavin Rajah leads fashion extravaganza at 2025 Cape Town Met

On January 25th, the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse will host a day of thrilling horse races, for the 2025 World Sports Betting Cape Town Met.

The horse may be the centre of attraction but it’s the Couture Unleashed Fashion Showcase that’s really got the style world buzzing.

Curated by the legendary Gavin Rajah, this year’s showcase celebrates South Africa’s diverse and dynamic fashion scene. Known for his haute couture mastery, Rajah will bring a dramatic and opulent touch to the runway, making this event a must-see for fashion lovers.

Expect bold silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and intricate embellishments from twelve top designers, each pushing the boundaries of couture. Think avant-garde artistry meets timeless elegance.

Designers like Imprint's Afrocentric prints, Craig Port’s sophisticated tailoring, and Sipho Mbuto’s structural, boundary-pushing designs are set to steal the spotlight. 

More top designers such as Thula Sindi, Masango by Siphesihle, Stephen van Eeden and Ramo Jozsy are expected to bring their fashion flair to the A-list event.
