Parkwood Primary School officially launched a starter library on Thursday July 18, as part of Mandela Day celebrations, and the space has been an instant hit with pupils.

The Rescue a Young Life (RAYL) foundation made the dream of a much needed library a reality with the help of company JUTA and individuals who came together to create a colourful, safe space with books, seating and a mural.

As part of the Mandela Day celebrations, pupils were also treated with party packs and volunteers who read to them from the donated books.
