Crocheted toys were for sale.
Imagineers, a group of Muslim homeschoolers, presented their third Kidpreneur Day, at Stardome Hall in Schaapkraal, on Saturday September 14.
Nurah Sallie, one of the parents, said the turnout was good, with lots of families and friends supporting pupils aged 6 to 15.
She said the aim of the event was to give pupils a lesson in entrepreneurship.
“They decide on an idea/product, they work out a budget, plan, prep (especially if it’s foodstuffs), market their products, and sell on the day. It’s important that they interact with customers, explain their products/service and also work out the change.”
Every family advertised through their own social networks. “Also via our own social media pages like Instagram and Facebook as well community radio,” said Ms Sallie.
