Sixty bags of mandrax, a bag of tik and a shotgun were found in Station Road in Heathfield.
Steenberg police are asking for the community’s help after the discovery of drugs and a shotgun in Station Road, Heathfield, last Sunday, October 6.
Steenberg police spokesperson Captain Richard Marcus said police followed up information of drugs stored at the location.
Over 60 large bags containing mandrax tablets, one large bag containing crystal meth and a shotgun were found.
“An enquiry into the discovery of the drugs and firearm was registered. We appeal to anyone with information about this incident to contact Steenberg SAPS on 021 702 9000, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the MySAPS application to share information anonymously.”
Steenberg Community Policing Forum (CPF) chairperson Gavin commended police for the bust and urged residents to come forward with information.
“As the CPF we are ecstatic about the bust because it means there are a lot of drugs and a firearm off the streets making it a bit safer. We commend Steenberg police and the officers for their hard work and we need the community to give information so that the suspects can be found and apprehended, said Mr Walbrugh.
