Help boys reach soccer tournament

Liam Lewis was chosen as part of the provincial team to take part in the IberCup international tournament.

Two young Steenberg soccer stars have made it through to the IberCup soccer tournament in Johannesburg in December, but they need help getting there.

Liam Lewis and Cade Purser were selected by the Central Schools Football Academy to be part of the province’s team that will take part in the international tournament from Thursday December 12 to Monday December 16.

Liam’s mother, Lureen Lewis, said the boys’ families would hold a disco fund-raiser with DJ Funk at the Steenberg Community Centre from 7pm on Saturday November 9 to raise the R16 000 per child that is needed for tournament fees, food, accommodation, travel and other expenses.

Entry is R50 and and R20 to take a cooler box. Any donations are welcome. There will also be lucky draws and prizes to be won.
