Christmas lunch

Members of Disabled People South Africa (DPSA) as well as abled seniors were treated to Christmas lunch and entertainment at Pelican Park civic centre on Saturday.

Ward 67 councillor Gerry Gordon organised the event.

Cheryl Halford, DPSA council members said Randal Benjamin, principal facility officer at the Department of Recreation and Parks, and his team gave them a “fruitful presentation” to raise awareness about gender-based violence.

“We had lots of entertainment such as music, singing as well as receiving spot prizes. All seniors also received beautiful gifts. We would just like to thank each and everyone that showed a helping hand,” said Ms Halford.
