The inaugural Western Cape Schools Surfski Series is making waves on Fish Hoek Beach with the Seadog Paddle Series hosting Friday night races. Seadog Paddle Series co-ordinator Dawid Mocke said the eight-race series sees pupils from various schools competing for points with every participant scoring a point for their school just for finishing. The competition, he said, was heating up with Fish Hoek High School currently dominating. The Homeschool Troupe is hot on their heels, followed by Camps Bay in third place. He said the scoring system added an extra layer of excitement, as pupils could score additional points for their school by placing in the top-five of any category. “Will Fish Hoek High School maintain their lead, or will another school rise to the challenge?” he said.
