In the spirit of giving and community, the Cape Town Islamic Educational Centre (CTIEC) has once again embarked on its annual haleem distribution project during the holy month of Ramadaan. This year, the CTIEC has aimed to prepare and distribute a larger quantity of haleem than ever before, reaching out to the community across Cape Town.

The distribution of haleem takes place every Sunday until the end of Ramadaan at three locations in Cape Town. Community members are encouraged to bring their own containers to collect a share of the traditional and nourishing dish.

In the Past 3 Sundays of Ramadaan, the CTIEC successfully distributed thousands of litres of haleem to individuals in Pelican Park, Grassy Park, Eagle Park, and Rylands. The initiative has received positive feedback from recipients who appreciate not only the warm meal but also the sense of community and generosity that comes with it.

Moulana Sayed Imraan Ziyaee, the head of CTIEC, shared that the project's primary goal is to cater to the needs of the Cape community and provide a shared meal experience during the sacred month of Ramadaan. He expressed the organisation's commitment to expanding its community projects and services, with a focus on improving the lives of those in Cape Town.

As the CTIEC continues to serve the community through its Haleem distribution project, they encourage individuals who are interested in getting involved or supporting their initiatives to reach out and contribute in any way they can.
