Mr Sasman said the sailors' abilities were put to the test in difficult situations. “They saw mild, shifting winds on Saturday, March 29, which finally died down entirely after 10pm. Conditions improved on Sunday, with low breezes at first, but around 4am, they turned into strong, gusting south-easterlies. Throughout the 24-hour race, these shifting conditions put the sailors' flexibility and stamina to the test,” said Mr Sasman.
