Man found dead on roof in Retreat

The body of a 19-year-old man was found on the roof of a premises in Beethoven Street, Retreat, on Saturday, May 24, at about 8.50pm.

Steenberg police have opened a murder case for investigation.

Sergeant Wesley Twigg, spokesperson for SAPS Western Cape, said: “Police members were called to the crime scene where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his chest. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation. The suspect/s are yet to be arrested.”
