Where Rainbows Meet, a Vrygrond non-profit organisation, celebrates Mandela Day every year, aiming to motivate children and seniors through education, feeding, and entertainment. This year, they invited businesses and organisations to assist their plight to “support these two most vulnerable groups in our community,” according to founder Mymoena Scholtz.
Ismail Scholtz, Laaiqah Scholtz and Aneequa Scholtz volunteer every year to “give back” to the community on Mandela Day.

Ms Scholtz said: “We had businesses coming in to support, and one organisation created awareness around epilepsy for our seniors. While waiting for their food parcels to take home, our seniors enjoyed sandwiches.
"The National Financial Ombud Scheme South Africa donated the food towards our nutrition programme for children and seniors.
