Grassy Park police have dealt a blow to the drug trade after seizing narcotics worth an estimated R50 000 during a raid in 4th Avenue, Grassy Park, on Monday, August 25.
Spokesperson for Grassy Park police, Sergeant Alridge Isaacs, said around 11.30am, members of the POCC Unit stormed a residence in the area following a tip-off about drug dealing. Once inside, he said, they confronted a foreign national and, after securing consent, searched the premises.”
What they uncovered was a stash of mandrax and tik. The suspect was immediately arrested on the spot, said Sergeant Isaacs.
Police confirmed that the man will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court once charges have been finalised.
