Gang-Related Shooting Claims Life of 29-Year-Old in Parkwood.

A 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Parkwood during the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, September 30.
Grassy Park police spokesperson Sergeant Alridge Isaacs said that officers responded to a shooting at around 4.45am in Blackbird Avenue, opposite the mosque. On arrival, they found the victim lying in front of a shop with multiple gunshot wounds to his back.
According to Sergeant Isaacs, the man had been seen walking behind the shop when an unknown suspect approached him from behind and opened fire. The man who was shot ran a short distance before collapsing and dying at the scene.
Police believe the incident is gang-related, as the deceased was allegedly linked to the Six Bob gang. Members of the Serious Violent Crimes Unit were on scene, and the case is currently under investigation by Sergeant Vuyo Gumenke.
No arrests have been made. Police are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that may assist in identifying and locating the suspected shooter.
