Four lucky Grassy Park High School Grade 12 pupils were chosen to be escorted to their matric ball by the Cape Town Stance car club earlier this month.
Tauriq Paulse, president of Cape Town Stance said members of the club fetched the pupils and drove them to the event at Tuscany Gardens in Rylands.
“Rudewaan and Sumaya Ganief and their Sound Beam Audio luxurious taxis, Kamillah Slamdien and her brand new Polo 8 that made its debut on the night as well as Saaligh Moosa and his luxurious Mr Bubbles Car Wash Range Rover, made their way to the learners in a stylistic convoy, to 7th Avenue, Grassy Park,” he said.
Mr Paulse said the pupils were overwhelmed by their rides.
Jaden Walters said: “When the rides pulled up, I was so surprised because I’d never expected cars like those to transport us to our matric ball. Everyone was posed with the question: ‘Where did you get those cars?’”
Safwaan Bailey added: “The car that I drove in was a real elegant whip, the music was great, and the conversations were great. At the venue there were nothing but good vibes. I really enjoyed it because I could spend time with my friends.”
Ethan America said: “I felt excited to see the Range Rover because I wanted to be dropped off in style, and that was style. It was a nice, relaxed drive and I enjoyed the company of the drivers.”
Cheslyn Samuels said: “I didn’t know what kind of rides to expect but the excitement was there. The drive to the venue had a real vibe. When we arrived, our peers were screaming at the top of their lungs and both their and our joy made the evening one to remember.”
Mr Paulse said: “This too was a great experience for the drivers, as they enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of the learners and look forward to hosting many more matric balls.
