Councillor Kevin Southgate, far left, representatives of local organisations and sponsors and children enjoy the activities.
Southfield Eyes, a non-profit organisation, hosted a fun day of activities for 30 children from Victoria Lodge Informal Settlement, at the Eco Park centre, at Princess Vlei, on Saturday October 22.
Amber Bezuidenhoudt, chairperson of Southfield Eyes, said the programme was sponsored by Red Hawk Spur.
“We would like to thank the Southfield Civic Association, Southfield Neighbourhood Watch (SFNW), Meadows Community Watch, National Security and Fire and SRU (Strategic Response Unit) members for all their assistance in making this day successful in giving our community kids a real treat. And a special thanks to Eco Park’s facilitators for their contributions and programme,” said Ms Bezuidenhoudt.
