Groups gather to share cultural history

Wynberg resident Latifa Cozyn, in green and white, originally from Kalk Bay, shared her ancestral lineage at the event.

A culture-sharing exchange between various people, lit up a room at a lunch, at Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence in Cape Town on Thursday September 30.

Wynberg resident Latifa Cozyn, of Cut Above travel and tours, and Inge Dykman, marketing manager of Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence, hosted the cultural event to mark heritage month.

Ms Cozyn who invited the guests from all over the Cape said “our culture and heritage can bring us together, to walk together as one, to respect each other as humans, to reach out to the whole of humanity in order to celebrate our greatness”.

Paramount Chief Hendrik “Hennie” van Wyk of the Gorachouqua tribe, gave some background on the Khoi-Khoi tribes in the Western Cape.
