Afri Paw had its 50th pet clinic initiative this year. Held in Vrygrond two weeks ago, in partnership with TEARS Animal Rescue, they served 521 pets and their owners signed up for 36 sterilisations.
Ward 45 councillor Mandy Marr and her ward assistant Leandre Layman, supported the initiative, which was sponsored by the Edgard and Cooper Foundation, The Stretch Foundation, Boehringer Ingelheim and NexGard South Africa. Ms Layman thanked all the “volunteers who braved uncertain circumstances as well as rather windy conditions, all for the love of animals”.
