The body of an unknown man who was fatally shot was discovered in the early hours of Sunday December 8 along 14th Avenue, Rondevlei, opposite the BP garage in Prince George Drive.
Police said the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident reported at about 6.15am is still ongoing and no arrests have yet been made.
Provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said Steenberg police attended to the crime scene where they found the victim with gunshot wounds to his body: “The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack is believed to be gang related. A murder case was registered for investigation.”
