Police confiscated firearms while doing operations in Parkwood and Ottery.
Three suspects will appear in court on charges of murder and possession of unlicensed firearms.
The swift action by police officers led to the arrest of three suspects in three separate cases over the weekend.
On Friday April 3, at about 7.30pm, a 39-year-old man was shot and killed in Dove Road Parkwood in what police believe was a gang-related murder.
Provincial police spokesman Colonel Andrè Traut said investigations by detectives led to the arrest of a 30-year-old man during the early hours of Saturday morning.
In an unrelated police intervention, members of the Anti-Gang Unit were deployed in Parkwood for crime prevention duties when they spotted a suspicious man with a gun in Blackbird Avenue. The 24-year-old suspect was pursued and arrested in possession of a 7.65 pistol and ammunition.
Meanwhile, other members of the AGU, acting on a tip-off during the early hours of Saturday morning, arrested a 41 year-old man at his residence in Conrad Avenue in Ottery in possession of a 9mm pistol and ammunition.
The three suspects appeared in Wynberg Magistrate’s Court to face the charges against them.
