On Sunday September 18, we were alerted by neighbours that smoke was billowing from our roof.
In no time, neighbours, friends, family, and people we have never seen before jumped into action. The fire department was called. The electricity was turned off, buckets of water were carried in and hoses were connected to nearby homes. Selflessly, these people came to our assistance to save our home.
Needless to say that when the fire engine arrived the fire was under control and the firemen could but
only commend all
those who had fought the fire. Indeed a job well done.
Your quick response saved the day. The fire was contained in the area where it started.
We were unable to personally thank those who tirelessly assisted us during our time of dire need, for you left quietly without looking for
any recognition – in the true spirit of neighbourliness and concern for the wellbeing of others.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your kind assistance and quick response. We are forever grateful. May you be rewarded abundantly.
