The festive season is upon us and we are aware that the poor face shortcomings in also wanting to celebrate the holiday.
In trying just to ease some of that burden, even in a small way, the Ottery Boyz MCC Christmas convoy will be delivering toys to needy children on Sunday December 22.
The Ottery Boyz have been running the Christmas convoy for 13 years.
This motorbike convoy of different clubs will meet at my home at 18 Trenance Road in Ottery Gardens to fill containers with toys, sweets, chips and, as per my request, dry food packs that can be made into four meals. I also requested that the children get hotdogs.
The Christmas Convoy attracts large numbers of people and they will be serving the community of Ottery, Wetton, Philippi, Lotus River, and surrounds and change or extend depending on the donations received.
