We are having a church event on the Blode Street field, which everyone in Lavender Hill knows as The Battlefield, on Sunday November 19, at 4pm.
The theme is "Bewaar jou hart", and it will be an open-air youth day.
I have invited a few church youth and our community youngsters to join us on that day because the aim is to get our youngsters to understand how important it is to protect your heart against all things such as breakups, gangsterism, drugs, etc.
Mothers who lost their kids three weeks back due to heavy shootings in Lavender Hill will also be there.
