Margo Johnson, CEO/founder of Shalom Community Care NPO, Lotus River
On Mandela Day, Thursday July 18, we plan to hand out soup in most of the streets of Lotus River targeting our vulnerable families, which is part of our mission to make a change in the life of the vulnerable.
These groups are sometimes getting missed so easily that is why NPO Shalom focuses on them, giving out food; supporting victims of GBV from the child to the elderly; supporting substance abusers and referring them to the next level of care; supporting young people in youth development and job seeking; providing teenagers with sanitary pads and the frail care with toiletries and adult diapers; and also taking care of the homeless by providing food and clothing.
We are using our fund-raisers to make the above support possible.
I’m writing this letter for support for dry ingredients towards our 67 minutes of humanity on July 18. Monetary donations will also be welcome.
Thank you for supporting our NPO by displaying the proof of our activities. If you want to assist, contact me at 061 586 2236.
