Philippi’s Sitoto set for provincial junior lightweight bout

Unbeaten in two professional fights in two months, vacant Western Cape junior lightweight title contender Mava Sitoto said he is ready to take back the belt to Betterlife in Philippi.

“I’ve prepared well. I won’t lie I am fit for this fight. I am winning it. I am taking that belt back to Philippi. This will motivate the kids to keep the discipline, in boxing,” said Sitoto.

He will be fighting another unbeaten boxer Sikelela Xatasi (5-0) at Vibrant Sports in Ottery on Friday, August 30.

9Sai Boxing Gym’s Ntombokuqala Tolashe will be fighting for the SA Women’s title as the main bout against former international champion Matshidiso Mokebisi from Gauteng. Mava Sitoto from Philippi is unbeaten in two fights in his two months since turning professional.
