Grassy Park siblings shine on the big stage

Irfaan Williams, 17, and his younger brother Rayaan, 15, from Grassy Park, performed well at last week’s 2024 Worlds Blackball Pool championships, in Bridlington, England.

Grassy Park siblings Irfaan Williams, 17, and his younger brother Rayaan, 15, impressed at last week’s 2024 Worlds Blackball Pool championships, in Bridlington, England, winning gold in the doubles final.

Irfaan also came out tops in the under-23 singles championships and won silver in the team event.

Rayaan was part of the SA under-23 second team that won bronze in the team event and picked up another bronze in the artistic pool (trick shot division).

Their father Abduragmaan, aka Maboy, won two silver medals, one in the masters team competition and one in the masters singles category.
