Antalyasport put on an impressive display when they beat Napoli FC, from Samora Machel, 5-0, on Saturday, to advance to phase four of the Bayhill Premier Cup play-offs.
There were results in 18 matches during phase three of the play-offs, which also includes a cancelled match between Mitchell’s Plain and Silver Spurs FC.
Antalyasport’s manager, Damian Prins, expressed confidence in his team’s potential to score more goals. Their attacking player, Lwandle Mdingi, from Beacon Valley, netted a brace to help his side secure the 5-0 victory over Napoli.
“I should have scored more. With the chances I got I only scored two. I will work on it,” said Mdingi.
Meanwhile, FC Cafda won 4-0 over Warriors FC. Elsies River AFC fell to District Six FC 0-1.
Invincible Cravenby AFC claimed a 4-3 win penalty shootout win over Montague Spurs FC after a 1-1 draw at the end of normal time.
In a tough encounter on field B, Shosholoza FC were beaten 0-2 by Salt River Blackpool.
Jordan Callies AFC triumphed over Milano United FC with a 2-0 victory. Mandalay United FC lost 0-2 to Manenberg Sporting Academy.
Clarewood JPM FC secured a 6-1 victory over Bonteheuwel United AFC.
Project Playground (PPG) won 3-0 against Westridge FC. Wanderers FC (Langa) were defeated 0-2 by Hellenic FC, while Vasco Da Gama triumphed 2-0 victors over South End FC.
Don’t Talk FC were left speechless as they lost 0-2 to Valhalla United FC.
Steenberg United FC narrowly lost 2-3 to Avendale Athletico FC. Hazendal United AFC won 5-4 on penalties against Ontario FC after a 1-1 draw at full time. Idas Valley AFC claimed a 1-0 victory over Matroosfontein FC.
Young Pirates FC were defeated 1-3 by Du Noon Sporting. In the final match of the day, Anadin FC lost 0-3 to Ulana Soccer Academy, from Mandalay.
This weekend, the matches will be played at the Langa sports complex, from 10am to 3pm.
