Fish Hoek-based Ubuntu Football Academy were on fire in last week’s Bayview FC under-16 Youth Cup, in Strandfontein, securing seven wins in seven games, scoring 24 goals and conceding none, en route to the final against Cape Town Spurs, whom they beat 1-0 to lift the trophy.
Ubuntu captain, Luke Hendricks, found the back of the net from a set-piece early in the first half, coming off a free kick taken by Ishaam Tillling, who himself was red-carded just before the break. The two were named joint top goalscorers of the tournament with eight goals each.
Pictured here is some of the action from their side’s semi-final match against Woodlands United, whom they beat 3-0 to set up a cup final date against Spurs.
