Over 1,500 UK travellers rated their adventures across nearly 2,500 destinations beyond Europe, weighing criteria such as food and drink, accommodation, cultural attractions, shopping, navigability, crowds, and value for money.
In a fiercely competitive field that included renowned destinations like Tokyo, Sydney, Dubai, and Los Angeles, Cape Town emerged as the unanimous choice. Rory Boland, editor at Which? Travel, encapsulated this achievement by reiterating the city's multifaceted appeal.
“Some cities are one-trick ponies, but the standout destinations in this year’s survey have it all – each offering unique cultural sights, top-class food and drink, and even sublime scenery,” he said.
With its breathtaking landscapes harmonising with vibrant city life, Cape Town proved it has what it takes to captivate visitors.
This latest triumph follows Cape Town's previous accolade as Time Out’s Best City in the World, solidifying its status as the premier destination for global travellers seeking an unforgettable experience in 2025.
