Invisible Hands reach five million meals

Invisible Hands dished up their five-millionth meal on Saturday May 24.

The non-profit organisation was established in 2015 in Wynberg and cooked at that location for the first million people. On March 1 2022 they moved into their new premises at 2 Gleemoor Road, Athlone.

Yusuf Gabier, affectionately known as Joe Spaza, said: “We thank each and everyone who contributed towards this milestone.” 

The food was distributed all over the Western Cape, including Lotus River and Ottery. “The 81 pots of the day included meat/chicken akni, dhal and rice as well as noodles.
