Rhoda-tul- Atfaal Daycare Centre in Grassy Park is inviting former teachers to a reunion with current teachers, in an event leading up to the school's 30th anniversary this year.

The meeting on Saturday May 31, at the school's premises, from 2pm to 5pm, will be a formal gathering and the dress code will be pink and gold.

Everyone in attendance will brainstorm ideas for the big celebration on Saturday October 4.

Fatima Smart, founder and principal, said the theme of the get-together will be “Shaping minds and changing lives" and she is calling on the former teachers to join in.

“We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for your past contributions and would be honoured if you could join us to reminisce, reconnect, and celebrate this milestone. Your presence would mean the world to us.”

Ms Smart said if the former teachers cannot make this event she would like them to keep in touch for the grand event with the theme “A trip around the world” where each class will represent a different country, on Saturday October 4.

Rhoda Tul Atfaal had been teaching different generations for three decades since their doors opened in January 1995, said Ms Smart.

Their vision was “to install a love for our Creator and respect for all. Our aim is to assist the development of the whole child socially, emotionally and intellectually.”

Ms Smart said they aimed to “assist children to reach their full potential and ensure that they are happy, healthy and learning.”

The mission is “to provide a safe, clean and conducive environment for learning. We ensure an integrated programme for children in the areas for holistic development,” she said.
