In the crime-ridden community of Vrygrond, a sliver of hope shines through in the form of an aftercare programme at Where Rainbows Meet. The initiative aims to provide a safe and nurturing space for children, helping them avoid negative influences and empowering them to become positive role players in their community.
Mymoena Scholtz, founder of Where Rainbows Meet, says these programmes will prevent children from getting involved with the wrong crowd and becoming more positive role players.
Some of the skills in the programme include educating children about safety, hygiene, and avoiding negative influences.
