A woman, 36, has been arrested in connection with the death of Lavender Hill resident, Dwight Williams.
Wynberg SAPS spokesman Captain Silvino Davids said the woman appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on October Wednesday October 28 and that she was being held at Pollsmoor Prison as her bail had been denied.
Her next court appearance, he added, would be at Wynberg Magistrate’s Court, on Tuesday November 10.
Mr Williams, 26, had been stabbed and his body was found in Lower Church Street, Wynberg on Friday October 16.
Mr Williams’ girlfriend Monique Essan, 30, is three months pregnant and they also have a daughter, Tenecia, who is four-years-old.
Mr Williams’ family had only reported him missing the following Monday as they thought he was spending the weekend at a friend’s house.
Mr Williams’ sister Tenille Williams said she felt that “justice must be served”.
“He died very young and he had his whole life ahead of him. We as the family still feel heartsore and we want (the perpetrator) to be locked up.”
