Lavender Hill-based non-profit company, RAD is offering a free course called Train the Trainer for young people.
The deadline for applications had been extended to Saturday June 14, although the seven-month course started on Saturday May 24.
Brandon Solomon, coordinator of the course said it was designed to train "passionate individuals" aged 17 to 21 from Lavender Hill, "who are eager to learn more about the performing arts and contribute to the development of talented youth within the community”.

Mr Solomon said the programme is designed to equip the individual “with the skills, confidence, and experience to become a performing arts facilitator, working with young people.”
Participant Virgo Isaacs, 17, of Lavender Hill High, said he saw the advert and recognised the "right opportunity".
Since then, on the course, he has learned "how to control one's anger, how to deal with conflict and how to communicate, socialise and take ownership of oneself”, he said and he now wants to pass these life-skills onto the next generation.
“Being shy you only think of yourself and I’m no longer shy,” said Virgo.
Jayda Groenewald, 16, from Chestway High, said she has a passion for teaching young children.
“I am currently a volunteer at RAD, and help the children with after-school programmes such as reading, art and music.”
She said she would love to work with kids and teach them life skills.
"I’ve seen so many kids who don’t get any love and attention at home and one day I want to work with kids to make a change in their lives.”
